Doom – Milan: BoXy transforms a deconsecrated church into an acoustically perfect coworking space.
BoXy took on a unique challenge: transforming a deconsecrated church in the heart of Milan into a modern coworking space. The building, protected by the Fine Arts, did not allow invasive structural interventions. With a reverberation time of nearly 8 seconds, the acoustics were unsuitable for a shared work environment. BoXy created a non-invasive, anchorless intervention under complex conditions (13-meter height), reducing reverberation time to 2.5 seconds, further enhanced by BoXy meeting rooms and furniture.
